For this week, we learned about New Zealand’s history and well-known famous events.
I feel I truly belong with my group of friends who shares my passion, offers me comfort, shows me kindness, and mostly— they feel as if they are my second my family. They give me the support I needed when I was feeling sad. Being with them makes me feel happiness I never get to enjoy often with people I thought I’d grow old with them.
What home means to me isn’t a structure or a place, home is my family, friends and the people who I care about. Even though they’re just living beings, they’re the ones who make me feel safe and lets me have fun. We cry, we laugh, we enjoy each others presence, and mostly, we love one another. They are my safe space who make me feel alive again, living throughout moments that can quickly turn into longing memories. Grasping for every second of the happiness we enjoyed with one another.
Today in Art, we made this unique thing which I don’t really know what it is about. But it is called “Notan”
Notan is a Japanese concept of art, balancing the positive and negative energy between light and dark. Notan is often associated with Yin and Yang, symbolizing the connections of dark and light, helping artists develop an understanding of value, composition, and the relationship between positive and negative energy.

I’ve finally finished my paper Notan, it was easier than I thought it’d be, probably because I didn’t make small shapes.
Science is about learning the things around you, about the natural world and what it’s capable of. Living species, medicines, DNA, elements and more. We learn science to acknowledge the things that are happening around us, what we are doing, what we do for a living. Everything we do is science, eg; typing on a keyboard or writing on a piece of paper, that is all science. The air is science, the table is science, everything is science.
The things I learnt was cool, but the most interesting thing one I learnt was that science is everywhere. The air is science, the table is science the room is science, everything and everywhere is science! Science is really interesting due to the fact that we are science ourselves, DNA is science and everything more is science!
I mostly learnt about how scientific experiments and observing for what we had learnt when we were doing the experiments.
I’d like to learn more about chemicals and how science works, I’d like to learn how science is a really important thing to us and how it affects our lives in such ways. Everyday normal human beings do the same thing and how they are all related.
Personally, my opinion on my behaviour for the last 11 weeks in science, I think I behaved really well and listened to the teacher when we do work. The things we learnt I always completed in time for when we have to finish.
Hello, I made my own version of the chokey. I did this because it was my task to do so. Here is my version and I hope you like it!

This Chokey is from the original show, “Matilda”. The chokey is a broken down locker with spikes inside so it can unalive you in seconds. It is for the children who do bad and not good stuff when in school.
Last week, my class and I watched Matilda the Musical, it was a fun and interesting movie I might say.
Matilda is a 6 year old girl with toxic parents, they didn’t care about her at all and only wanted money, they eventually enrolled her to one of the worst schools nearest them. The principal, Miss Trunchball, is a principal with no manners and no fun, she puts students into the chokey (the chokey is a small space where there are spikes) if they make the smallest mistake in school, while Miss Honey, is the nice and loving teacher who brings joy and fun into other students lives. The movie goes on about Matilda’s story about an acrobat and an escapologist. The acrobat has an evil sister who wanted to take everything away from her so she challenged her to a death game, the acrobat was pregnant and wanted to live so she did it for her baby and her husband, the escapologist. The escapologist was locked in a cage upside down while the acrobat swang on top of a tub of deadly sharks, the escapologist was running out of time because the acrobat was gonna die, but he unlocked himself and before the acrobat fell, he grabbed her hand but then she fell and had a serious injury. Thankfully she gave birth to her baby safely but had broken all her bones and died the day after. The escapologist had no one to take care of his baby so he asked the acrobat’s sister to take care of her but little did he know that the sister was harming his daughter. The escapologist eventually noticed and kicked the sister out, Miss Honey, was the daughter who got abused and harmed by her aunt, and her aunt was Miss Trunchball. Around the end of the movie, Miss Trunchball was yelling at everyone and crashing out so Matilda used her telekinesis and kicked her out of the school, in the end, Miss Honey adopted Matilda and lived happily ever after.
My favourite character was Matilda, my choice is basic but I have a reason. Even though she suffered from non-loving parents, she still managed to take care of herself without crying or feeling any sadness in her, she saved everyone in the end and still had a happy ending. Her story about the acrobat and the escapologist was crazy because her “fictional” story had somewhat linked up to Miss Honey’s past; along with her telekinesis as well, I love the way she grabbed the chalk and started writing on the board.
Well my favourite was the “When I grow up” song, because everyone explains what they wanna be when they grow up to have freedom and fun instead of being locked in a school with a toxic principal, they wanted to live their life instead of being ordered around, not having any joy or happiness in their lives.x

Hello everyone,
Today we have learnt how to create sound by water from a glass. My partner, Ayani, we both have done this video to show you how it will work.
We both hope you enjoy our explanation! Bye.
If our explanation wasn’t clear, here’s a better one.
If you put a specific amount of water onto a glass or a tube and gently blow, you will create a soundwave but the pitch depends on the water you have put onto the tube. But if you put a lot of water inside the tube, the higher the pitch is. The sound waves will bunch up together making it look like the ocean when it there is a storm.
If that explanation was NOT clear enough for you, search it up.
